A Message to Families
Dear New Bridge Families,
It is with great pleasure and excitement that I continue serving this community as the New Bridge Learning Center Preschool Coordinator and Administrator. I am looking forward to a year filled with memorable moments in 2019-2020.
My career in Education began in Henrico County as a Kindergarten teacher after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Radford University. In my first years as a classroom teacher, I earned my Masters of Education through the University of Virginia, and became a certified Reading Specialist. After five years, I began teaching fourth grade and was assigned the gifted cluster of students. To focus my instruction on better meeting those students’ needs, I went back to school at the University of Richmond to earn my Gifted Endorsement. Two years later, I became a Title I Reading Coach. This position provided me the opportunity to work with all grades at the elementary level. I achieved my National Board Certification in the area of Literacy in 2014 and most recently completed a Post-Master’s certificate in Administration and Supervision from Longwood University.
I am honored to be a part of the New Bridge family and look forward to working with each of you throughout the year. Thank you for sharing your most precious gift with us– your children! I welcome your involvement in our building and encourage your input. Feel free to contact me if I can be of any assistance. firstname.lastname@example.org
